Oops. Phil just let me know that that last tweak had a not-obvious-at-first (and dire) consequence: Archive files weren't gettting published. No wonder it's so fast! Actually, that wasn't the reason (phew). The files were just getting put in the wrong place (who hard-coded that directory in there? geez!), the work was still being done. All better now. See?
