We're once again having trouble with a database server today and have had to restart it multiple times. We've determined that there are a number of queries running on this server which are adversely impacting performance. We're now engineering alternate ways of dealing with this data and will deploy new code ASAP.
Update: We've pushed out new code which should help with the database trouble we've been having.
